Free use
You can use both tools free: every style, the full board, and the live mixing desk, with a 30-second WAV to download. Free audio may be used in personal, non-commercial projects — hobby videos, personal streams, study playlists, prototypes, class projects. No attribution required.
Two commercial licenses
Both are a one-time purchase — never a subscription, so your published work can never retroactively lose its license — granting a perpetual, worldwide right to use your generated audio in commercial projects without limit on project count or revenue: client work, monetized videos and podcasts, livestreams and VODs, games, apps, in-store or venue playback, film and advertising.
- Sonodrift Studio — $49. Unlocks the full Studio: tracks beyond 30 seconds, the provenance certificate, MIDI and per-role stems, loudness targets, A/B compare, and saved presets — for all twelve styles. A Studio license also covers everything an Ambience license does, so it is the single license for the whole site.
- Sonodrift Ambience — $19. The commercial-use license for the Ambient board — covering use of its (freely generated) loops, stems, and theme packs in paid work. The Ambient board itself is free; this grants the commercial rights, not new features.
Royalty-free means the license charges no per-use royalty: pay once and use your exports in your projects without counting uses, views, or revenue. It does not mean copyright cannot exist in a track, or that no platform or third party can ever make a mistaken claim.
The one thing you may not do (free or licensed): resell or redistribute the raw audio files as audio — e.g. republishing generated tracks as a stock-music library, sample pack, or competing catalog. Use them in things; don't sell them as the thing.
Nonexclusive outputs
Sonodrift outputs are nonexclusive: the same or a similar track may be generated by or licensed to someone else. Do not enroll an unmodified export — or its stems, loops, or lightly modified versions — as a reference in Content ID, Rights Manager, or any other automated copyright-claiming system, and do not represent it as exclusively yours. Your completed project remains yours to register or claim to the extent the law permits; exclude the Sonodrift source audio from any automated exclusive reference.
How this audio is made
Every track is synthesized in your browser, deterministically, from your seed and settings. Studio downloads include a certificate recording exactly how the audio was produced; re-rendering with the same inputs reproduces the identical file, so the record is verifiable rather than a promise. The honest fine print
- We can't give legal advice, and this page isn't a substitute for it in high-stakes uses.
- If a platform flags a Studio track, its certificate documents how the track was generated — evidence you can use to dispute a misidentification.
- Certificates stay verifiable: every released engine version remains available for re-rendering, so a certificate can be checked long after it was issued.
- Refunds: if the license doesn't do what this page says, tell us within 14 days and we'll refund you.
